Dales statement

Theres an enduring,
poetic,
aesthetic,
patient
feeling about working with a material such as paper, match that to a space correctly,
and it amplifies these qualities.

This piece explores a direct involvment with others, and explores the connection between them, by using the material as a tool to drop barriers between people. Play is an important part of a humans development, and is helpful in getting to know a space, and others around you. Words are no longer necessary, and often, hinder the creative process when collaboration is concernd. When your only method of communication is making and body movement, this stimulates making. The point is to explore in the moment of creating, the connection you have with others, so this material can be used in the same space over and over, day after day, and the work would evolve of its own accord, or it would die. If the point is the activity, then the concept “we have already done it, so its pointless” is missing the point, because each time you set yourself up with others in a spce, the interaction will be different. And if its with the same people, the work will get more elaborate. All thats needed is time, and patience.
