I was planning the press release and making notes and such when I was struck by the absence of a title for our show! Like our show, the press release needs a title, aptly so. My one and only suggestion for a title is 'Hurry up and Wait', I think it works well in linking together the four artists and their work, how they are all representations or continuations of a fleeting or continuous moment - symbols of loss, fragility and the passing of time.
I plan to interview/talk with each artist about their work and as I do so I will make notes in regard to writing the press release, I would also like to have a quality photograph of the works and the artists who made them, to illustrate and accompany the words of the press release.
What do y'all think of the potential title? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Let me know, or failing that we can discuss it when we meet with Dale.

How about something like, "Who will fall next?"/"How far will you fall?"

It's weird, but that is almost exactly the same as the title for my Soap trailer/video from the video workshop. Strange, eh?
ReplyDeleteI like it though, it may be a contender.
If it should be connected (I believe it should) with the above mentioned symbols - loss, fragility, passing of time - (entropy?), then the title should be ''philosophical itself'' ,possibly connected with existentialism. I would suggest something like ''Kaleidoscope of Anxiety''
